In 1987, Bill Cosby won three Golden Raspberry Awards for his work and became the first actor ever to insist on actually claiming a Razzie. The original trophy, a cheap plastic raspberry on a reel of Super 8 film, was valued at just 1.97 dollars. Cosby demanded a “real” version, and the Fox Network responded by commissioning custom trophies made from 24-carat gold and Italian marble that reportedly cost around $30,000.
