Darth Vader Actor Spoils Twist

In 1978, two years before The Empire Strikes Back hit theaters, Darth Vader actor David Prowse reportedly gave away the film’s big twist at a public event. While talking about the upcoming sequel, he said that in the next movie fans would learn that Darth Vader was Luke Skywalker’s father. At the time, almost no one took the comment seriously or realized its importance.
