During the Korean War, British Prime Minister Winston Churchill opposed the American use of napalm but still allowed the United States to publish claims that Britain supported those napalm attacks. While U.S. forces used the incendiary weapon extensively in Korea, Churchill did not openly challenge Washington’s public line.
