During the Korean War, U.S. pilot James Risner chased a Russian MiG back across the border to its base in China. He followed the jet at low level, flying between hangars while anti-aircraft guns tried to shoot him down. Risner stayed on the MiG’s tail long enough to hit it, sending the damaged fighter crashing into parked aircraft on the ground.
