John Thornton Imaginary Motorcycle Confiscated

During the Korean War, Lieutenant John Thornton sat in a prisoner-of-war camp and invented his own way to fight boredom. Every day, he walked around the compound as if he were riding an imaginary motorcycle, complete with a regular route. Eventually, the guards summoned him to their headquarters and told him that his imaginary motorcycle violated rules and regulations. They then officially "confiscated" it, and Thornton had to stop his daily pretend rides.
