Project 100000 McNamaras Morons Vietnam

During the Vietnam War, President Lyndon Johnson and Defense Secretary Robert McNamara launched Project 100,000, which swept through the ghettos of America to induct low-IQ men into the armed forces, a group critics called "McNamara's Morons." The program recruited about 354,000 intentionally selected "misfits" who often could not read or write, had IQs below 75, or had dropped out of high school, and some of them did not even know the United States was at war. One estimate holds that 25 percent of U.S. Army soldiers in Vietnam came from these kinds of recruits, and they suffered casualty rates three times higher than regular soldiers.
