Seven Million Tons Bombs Dropped

From 1965 to 1968, during the Vietnam War, the United States dropped 32 tons of bombs per hour on North Vietnam as part of its air campaign. Over the course of the conflict, U.S. forces dropped a total of 7 million tons of bombs in the region, including 400,000 tons of napalm. This bombing total was more than three times the tonnage dropped in all of World War II.
