Pilots Live In LAX Parking

LAX Airport lets some pilots and airport employees live on airport property by renting them parking spaces for their personal RVs for 60 dollars per month. In a lot along the edges of the airport, commercial airline pilots have created a small city of trailers and RVs that gives them a place to sleep between trips. The cheap rent helps them avoid high Los Angeles housing costs at a time when many pilots earn far less than the public imagines.
