Archimedes Last Words on Circles

In 213–212 BC, during the Siege of Syracuse, Greek mathematician Archimedes kept working on a geometry problem as battle swept through the city. When a Roman soldier confronted him, Archimedes warned, "Don't disturb my circles!" The soldier killed him, cutting short his work.
