Michael Jace Kills Wife April

On May 19, 2014, actor Michael Jace, best known for playing Officer Julien Lowe on FX’s The Shield, called 911 from his Los Angeles home and told the dispatcher he had shot his wife, April Jace. Police arrived to find her dead from multiple gunshot wounds, with the couple’s two young sons present in the house.

Prosecutors later said he shot her during an argument about money and their failing marriage. In 2016 a California jury convicted him of second-degree murder, and he received a sentence of 40 years to life in prison.
