Star Trek's Worst Episode "Shades"

The Star Trek: The Next Generation episode "Shades of Gray," which aired in 1989, is infamous among fans as the series' worst. Created at the end of season two when the production budget was nearly gone, it was a clip show built mostly from recycled footage. Writer Maurice Hurley later dismissed it bluntly, calling the episode "a piece of shit."
