Charles Justice's Electric Chair Fate

Charles Justice's Electric Chair Fate

In 1911, Charles Justice, an inmate in Ohio, was granted early parole for his design improvements to the electric chair, which involved replacing the leather wrist restraints with metal clamps. Months later, a jury convicted him of murder. The court sent him back to the Ohio State Penitentiary to die in the same electric chair he had helped improve. Officials carried out the execution just after midnight.
