The Denver Spiderman Murder

The Denver Spiderman Murder

In 1941, a drifter named Theodore Coneys (a.k.a. Denver Spiderman) broke into the Denver home of Philip and Helen Peters looking for shelter. He crawled into a cramped attic and secretly lived there for weeks. When Philip discovered him one night, Coneys bludgeoned him to death with an iron stove shaker. While police searched the house and Helen continued living there, Coneys hid silently in the attic for months until investigators finally found his secret crawlspace and arrested him.
