Jill Dando's Unsolved BBC Killing

In 1999, BBC journalist Jill Dando was shot dead outside her home in London. At the time, she was the beloved host of Crimewatch, a series that reconstructed real unsolved cases. The program later recreated her murder, and police arrested Barry George, who was convicted in 2001. After years of appeals, his conviction was overturned, and he was acquitted at a retrial in 2008, leaving one of Britain's most high-profile killings unsolved to this day.
