Mount St. Helens Hidden Murders

In 1980, the eruption of Mount St. Helens devastated Washington State, covering the landscape in ash and debris. Over a year later, searchers discovered the bodies of two women thought to be victims of the eruption hidden beneath the volcanic rubble. Investigators only later found they had been murdered before the eruption and buried in the area to conceal the crime. The victims, Weatter and Allen, were later identified and linked to serial killer Martin Lee Sanders.
