Titanic Message in a Bottle

Titanic Message in a Bottle

In April 1912, Irish passenger Jeremiah Burke wrote a note that read, "From Titanic, goodbye all, Burke of Glanmire, Cork," and sealed it in a bottle before throwing it overboard while the ship was sinking. The bottle washed ashore a year later near the Burkes' home in County Cork, Ireland. The note stayed with his family for nearly 100 years before they donated it to the Cobh Heritage Centre museum.
