The Fig Tree That Grew from Murder

In 1974, during the conflict between Greek Cypriots and Turkish Cypriots in Cyprus, a man named Ahmet Hergune was murdered and disappeared. In 2011, a researcher noticed a fig tree growing in an unusual spot in the mountains and dug around its base. He uncovered human remains, and the tree had grown from a fig seed in Hergune's stomach. Two other bodies were also discovered at the site.
