Dr. Harold Shipman: Britain's Deadliest Doctor

Dr. Harold Shipman, a trusted family physician in England, was found to have murdered his patients by giving them lethal doses of painkillers. In 2000, he was convicted of killing 15 people, but investigators later estimated he may have murdered more than 200 over two decades. His trial covered only about five percent of the suspected total. Shipman's crimes led to sweeping reforms in Britain's medical oversight and death certification systems.
