Melvin Carr's Fatal Gas Plot

In 1977, triple murderer Melvin Chelcie Carr set out to kill his three victims by carbon monoxide poisoning inside a garage. He sealed the doors and ran the car engine to fill the space with exhaust fumes. But the plan backfired as Carr accidentally inhaled the same toxic gas and died alongside his victims. When his wife returned home, she discovered all four bodies in the garage.
