Isner-Mahut Match Breaks Wimbledon Scoreboard

In June 2010, John Isner and Nicolas Mahut played the longest tennis match in history at Wimbledon, lasting 11 hours and 5 minutes over three days. The electronic scoreboard malfunctioned when the fifth set reached 47-47 because the system was not designed to display higher scores. An IBM programmer had to work overnight to rewrite the software so the match could continue with proper scoring the next day.
