Oster Conspiracy to Stop Hitler

In 1938, German military intelligence officer Hans Oster plotted with other high-ranking officials to overthrow Adolf Hitler if he moved to start a war by invading Czechoslovakia. The conspirators included military leaders and government figures who feared Germany was not ready for a major conflict. However, their plan collapsed when Britain and France pursued appeasement, forcing Czechoslovakia to accept Hitler's demands at the Munich Agreement, which removed the immediate trigger for the coup.
