McCarthy Footage Fooled Film Audiences

When Good Night, and Good Luck (2005) was screened for test audiences, many complained that the actor portraying Senator Joseph McCarthy was too exaggerated. However, the film didn't use an actor at all. It incorporated authentic archival footage of McCarthy himself during the 1950s.
