Swanson's Turkey TV Dinner Solution

Swanson, a major American food company, invented TV dinners after being stuck with 260 tons of frozen turkey left over from Thanksgiving 1953, when they overestimated holiday demand. To solve the problem, in 1954 they packaged the turkey with sides in compartmentalized trays, creating the first mass-marketed TV dinners and sparking a frozen meal revolution.
