In 2015, Georgia resident Ronnie Music Jr. won $3 million from a scratch-off lottery ticket. Instead of using his windfall responsibly, he invested the money in building a large methamphetamine trafficking ring in an attempt to create a drug empire. Less than 18 months later, federal agents uncovered his operation, and in 2017 he was sentenced to 21 years in prison.
