Festivus: A Real Celebration

Seinfeld did not invent "Festivus," a celebration on December 23rd. Daniel O'Keefe created it in 1966 to commemorate his first date with his wife. His son Dan later introduced the holiday to the public when he wrote the episode "The Strike."
