Wimbledon Embraces Technology

At the 2025 Wimbledon Championships in London, the tournament permanently replaced its 300 in-person line judges with Hawk-Eye electronic line-calling across all courts, ending a 147-year tradition. The decision, announced in 2024, was made to improve accuracy, consistency, and efficiency in officiating.
