Apes Cast Self-Segregated on Set

During the filming of "Planet of the Apes" (1968), the cast self-segregated. Lead actor Charlton Heston observed that "the chimpanzees ate with the chimpanzees, the gorillas with the gorillas, the orangutans with the orangutans, and the humans would eat off by themselves."
