Caffeine Overdose Tragedy in 2017

In 2017, 16-year-old Davis Allen Cripe from South Carolina tragically died after consuming a McDonald's latte, a large Mountain Dew, and an energy drink within a two-hour period. This rapid intake of approximately 470mg of caffeine led to a caffeine-induced cardiac event, causing a probable arrhythmia. Despite having no known pre-existing heart conditions, the combination and speed of consumption proved fatal.
