Foxglove

Common in cottage gardens, wildflower mixes, and herbal gardens, Foxglove is the source of digitalis-a heart medication in precise doses but a deadly poison if unregulated. Ingestion can lead to arrhythmias, hallucinations, and heart failure, and even handling the plant can cause a drop in heart rate. Interestingly, potassium chloride, used to treat Foxglove poisoning, is the same chemical used in lethal injections.
