Giant Silkworm Caterpillar

Also known as the Assassin Caterpillar, the larva of the Giant Silkworm Moth is considered the most venomous caterpillar in the world. Found in Brazil and parts of South America, it appears harmless but can kill a human within 15 hours. Its venom causes internal bleeding, hemorrhagic syndrome, and kidney failure. Victims often don't notice contact until symptoms begin, which may include bleeding from the eyes, gums, or skin. It has been responsible for over 500 deaths in Brazil.
