Human vs Pork

Human vs Pork

Human meat is said to closely resemble pork in appearance, smell, texture, and taste-so much so that the average person might struggle to tell the difference. Historically, the Aztecs prepared pozole, a traditional Mexican soup, using human flesh. Later, with the ban on cannibalism, pork emerged as a substitute due to its similar taste. In 1924, children playing along a riverbank in Germany discovered a human skull, leading to an investigation that resulted in the arrest of Fritz Haarmann. Haarmann had been murdering people, butchering their bodies, and selling the flesh as pork.
