Saddam Hussein's Purge (1979)

In 1979, Saddam Hussein convened a Ba'ath Party assembly, where 68 "traitors" were named. Those accused were tried collectively and found guilty of treason. Twenty-two were sentenced to execution, while others were forced to carry out the executions themselves.
