The Jerusalem Massacre by the Crusaders (1099)

In 1099, after the Crusaders captured Jerusalem during the First Crusade, they massacred both the Jewish and Muslim populations, including women and children. The slaughter was so extensive that Crusaders were reportedly wading through blood up to their ankles.
