Brett Ryan's Crossbow Killings

In 2016, Brett Ryan, also known as the "Fake Beard Bandit," murdered his mother, Susan Ryan, and two of his brothers, Christopher and Alexander, in Toronto, Canada. Motivated by fear that his mother would expose his lies about being financially stable and planning a future with his fiancée, Ryan killed his family members to prevent them from revealing his secret. Armed with a crossbow and rope, he executed a meticulously planned attack, but his youngest brother managed to escape and call the police. Ryan faced arrest, entered a guilty plea, and received a life sentence in prison.
