Joshua Powell's Deadly Control

Joshua Powell's Deadly Control

In December 2009, Susan Powell mysteriously disappeared from her Utah home, and her husband, Joshua Powell, was considered a prime suspect. Joshua claimed he had taken their sons camping late at night, leaving Susan at home, but evidence pointed to financial troubles and Joshua's controlling behavior as possible motives for her murder. Despite extensive investigations, Susan's body was never found. In February 2012, Joshua killed himself and their two young sons, Charles and Braden, by setting their rental house on fire during a supervised visit, bringing the case to a tragic end. Authorities suspect Joshua's brother Michael played a role in concealing Susan's death, yet they did not press charges.
