Bruce Pardo's Christmas Rampage

On Christmas Eve 2008, Bruce Pardo, dressed as Santa, attacked his former in-laws' home in Covina, California, killing nine people and injuring three. Motivated by his recent divorce, financial issues, and resentment towards his ex-wife, Pardo used handguns and an improvised flame thrower to carry out the massacre. After setting the house on fire, he drove to his brother's residence and ended his own life. His escape plan, which included rented vehicles and a plane ticket, failed due to severe burns from the fire.
