Pliny's Yogurt Mention

The oldest writings mentioning yogurt are attributed to Pliny the Elder, a Roman author and naturalist who lived in the 1st century AD. He noted that certain "barbarous nations" knew how "to thicken milk into a substance with an agreeable acidity."
