CIA's Failed Bribe of Singapore PM

The CIA once attempted to bribe Prime Minister of Singapore Lee Kuan Yew, which was then relatively undeveloped, but failed. Following Mr. Lee's revelation in an interview, the United States denied the incident. In response, Mr. Lee angrily disclosed a letter he received from the then U.S. Secretary of State and threatened to reveal further information.
