Dennis' Return to Show

Fans of "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" were shocked and saddened by the season 12 finale because Dennis seemed to exit the show. Glenn Howerton later confirmed he wouldn't be a series regular anymore but would appear in some episodes. He missed four out of ten episodes in season 13 due to leading "A.P. Bio" (2018) but returned full-time in season 14. Rob McElhenney revealed that after doing season 13 with Howerton occasionally missing, they realized the show wasn't working as well. Therefore, they shot season 14 after season 2 of "A.P. Bio" to accommodate Howerton's schedule and have him available for every episode.
