Baltimore Gas Leak Stickers

In 1987, the Baltimore Gas and Electric Company sent out scratch and sniff stickers to educate the public about the smell of a gas leak, but it backfired when the unopened envelopes emitted a smell mistaken for a gas leak, prompting several hundred customers to call the fire department.
