Doctor Strange filming

A devastating earthquake hit Nepal right before Doctor Strange could begin filming there. Instead of canceling and scouting new locations, director Scott Derrickson and Benedict Cumberbatch agreed that it would be beneficial to still shoot there as their tourism dollars could only help the local economy, as did the hiring of locals as extras and crew members.
