A recording engineer named Dave Clews, who worked with singers like Tina Turner, Tom Jones, Kylie Minogue, and more has stated that British singer George Michael was the only artist his team ever worked with who absolutely refused vocal pitch correction. Clews joined producer Johnny Douglas at London's SARM West studios in 1995 to help Michael create Fastlove for the album Older. Michael spent days building vocals line by line and sometimes erased completed performances to record new versions. Fastlove was released in 1996 and topped the UK chart for three weeks.
