Everest Pair Paraglides Then Kayaks

In 2011, two Nepali men named Sanobabu Sunuwar and Lakpa Tshiri Sherpa climbed Mount Everest without permits or sponsors, borrowing food, supplies, and shelter from other expeditions. Sunuwar had no high-altitude climbing experience, while Sherpa was a veteran mountaineer who had never kayaked and could not swim. After reaching the summit, they paraglided 15 miles to Namche in just 42 minutes, then began a nearly 500-mile kayaking journey toward the Indian Ocean. Their expedition survived a capsize in the Sun Kosi River's grade-five rapids and earned them National Geographic's 2012 Adventurers of the Year award.
