Manhattan Buildings Claimed Exclusive ZIPs

As of 2013, 43 buildings in Manhattan had ZIP codes all to themselves. A building's height or revenue did not automatically qualify it because the Postal Service primarily considered its mail volume, code availability, and the cost of creating a unique ZIP. The Empire State Building, which contained more than 150 businesses that could receive mail, used 10118, while the Woolworth and Graybar buildings also had exclusive codes.
