Broadway Households Averaged $261,000 Annually

During the 2018-2019 season, the average annual household income of a Broadway theatergoer reached $261,000, according to the Broadway League. The audience also averaged 42.3 years old, while 81 percent of attendees aged 25 or older had completed college and 41 percent held graduate degrees. Despite those affluent demographics, tourists accounted for 65 percent of all Broadway admissions that season.
