Tourette Association Praised South Park

Before South Park aired "Le Petit Tourette" in 2007, the Tourette Syndrome Association, now called the Tourette Association of America, expected the episode to offend and insult people with the condition. After watching it, the organization praised the episode as surprisingly well-researched and said it conveyed a considerable amount of accurate information. Its main criticism concerned the exaggerated focus on coprolalia, or involuntary swearing, because 85 to 90 percent of people with Tourette syndrome do not experience it.
