American game show host Bob Barker spent most of his childhood on the Rosebud Indian Reservation near Mission, South Dakota. His mother taught school there, and Barker attended grade school on the reservation. U.S. Indian Census Rolls listed him as a citizen of the Rosebud Sioux Tribe, which later confirmed his citizenship. In 1972, he began his 35-year run hosting The Price Is Right.
