Mixue Surpassed McDonald's Restaurant Count

The world's largest fast-food chain by number of locations is China's Mixue, which sells ice cream and tea drinks. A 2026 ranking lists about 53,000 Mixue outlets, ahead of McDonald's 45,356 restaurants at the end of 2025.
