Michael Jackson's Shelved Wonka Soundtrack

Michael Jackson wanted to play Willy Wonka in the 2005 film Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. According to his former collaborator Marc Schaffel, Jackson recorded an original soundtrack in hopes of winning the role. Warner Bros. wanted the music but declined to cast him, so Jackson shelved it. Johnny Depp played Wonka, and Danny Elfman composed the film's soundtrack.
