Brian May Discouraged Concert Smoking

Queen guitarist and astrophysicist Brian May grew up with a father who smoked heavily. May said Harold smoked about 40 cigarettes a day and attributed his death from cancer to smoking. In 2005, Queen and Paul Rodgers asked audiences not to smoke at their concerts, ahead of England’s 2007 indoor smoking ban.
